Our Cattle.
Improving profitability is one of the main aims of any beef producer. To stay profitable breeders need to reduce costs whilst increasing output. A Beef CRC project has proven that high feed efficient cattle can reduce feed costs by up to $80/head.

Beef producers can now increase carcase yield by up to 6% in a single generation thanks to a gene known as Myostatin. This gene results in an increase in the number and size of the muscle fibres particularly in the hind-quarters.
High Feed Conversion Efficiency and the Myostatin Gene are synonomous to the Limousin Breed.
At present some 180 purebred Limousin females are joined to select sires by means of AI and natural service. An annual embryo transfer program is carried out with our elite females. A commercial cow/calf operation consisting of 150 Angus and Lim-Flex females are joined to Manali Herd sires.
